Newborn family pictures are one of my favorites. The first newborn memories of you and your new baby in your home are precious. Babies grow and change so quickly which is why I always recommend having newborn family photos taken within the first two weeks after you come home from the hospital with your little one.
Miss Eleanor graced her family with her presence in April 2021. She’s the perfect blend of her mother and father, with dark hair and brown eyes.
One thing I always suggest to my clients is for them to have important family keepsakes handy during their family newborn photos. In this case, Colin has Native American heritage in his family, so when his grandparents sent these baby moccasins for Eleanor we made sure we took some photos of her wearing them.
Lizzy did a great job pointing out all the little details of Eleanor’s nursery, like the framed paperback books that were a family heirloom, and the white toy chest that used to be Lizzy’s they repainted for Eleanor. The name plaque above the door in Eleanor's room was also something Lizzy had (but with her name) as a child in her room, and it was how Lizzy learned how to spell her name. It was nice to see they included that piece in Eleanor's nursery as well.
Their sweet Shetland Sheepdog, Ellie, even made an appearance in some of their newborn family photos! She’s not the baby in the house anymore but we definitely wanted to include her in these newborn family photos with Eleanor, Lizzy, and Colin.
I remember back in November 2020 I took Christmas card family photos for Lizzy and Colin and they surprised me during their session when they told me they were expecting! It made their Christmas card family photos even more fun when they had some exciting news to share! Fast-forward and here we are with sweet little Eleanor Brinton! Congratulations Lizzy & Colin!
