We started this documentation of maternity + year one with the Mast Family when Mallory was pregnant with Landon. The progression of pregnancy through year one is a beautiful way to capture the beginning of your journey through parenthood.
Time flies by SO FAST when you are a parent, and before you know it your kids aren’t babies anymore (sad face). The maternity + year one experience allows families to let me do all the work for them and not worry about taking enough pictures along the way as their children grow.
When Mallory announced she was pregnant with her third child, I was OVER THE MOON excited for her! I remember when she texted me and I was in tears – could have been because I was hormonal from having a baby not long before – but I was ELATED!
Mallory is a stunning mother! We’ve always discussed what her vision is before we plan a shoot and each time she surprises me with how natural she is in front of the camera. Some of these photos were taken at Doggettville Farm in Summerfield, NC and some were taken at Mallory's home.
Baby Landon made his grand entrance into this world 5 weeks earlier than expected. He spent some time in the NICU but came out of there strong and healthy! Once he and his family were all at home together, we gathered around and captured some special newborn memories of him. Landon is very fortunate to have such a loving family!
As Landon was nearing his 6-month milestone we rounded up the family again and took some photos at the Ginger Birdie Studio in Downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This space is a blank slate with tons of natural light that makes the space a photographer's dream! We let the kids run around and play to capture their personalities in the best way.
We rounded out Landon’s maternity + year one experience with a fun summer treat! Since Landon was born on July 6th we went with a festive 4th of July theme! With angel food cake, whipped cream, fresh strawberries and blueberries, you can’t go wrong! Landon had fun getting a little messy and having his first taste of his birthday treat!
