Do you struggle to find just the right thing to wear in photos? Here are 5 quick and easy tips to give you some ideas.
1) Make sure what you’re wearing is comfortable
I can’t say it enough, if what you’re wearing isn’t comfortable, you’ll be less likely to look relaxed, natural, and happy in your photos. Make sure what you’re wearing in your photos is comfortable. Avoid fabrics that create a lot of static, or feeling like you have to constantly have to adjust.
2) Avoid loud prints and patterns
Have you ever seen someone in photos who is wearing bold stripes or checkerboard pattern? I bet that is the only thing you focused on when you saw the photos, right? That’s what we want to avoid. YOU are the subject in your photos and if the print or pattern you’re wearing in the photos is too loud and distracting, it takes away from the overall beauty of your photos.
3) Something flattering
This goes back to wearing something comfortable, but also, something you FEEL GOOD wearing! It will show through with confidence you carry in your photos, so make sure you’re wearing something you truly like.
4) Something tasteful
If you want to show off some skin, DO IT! Just make sure if you are showing more skin that you are mindful of not flashing the camera if what you’re wearing is revealing.
5) Something that speaks to who you are
Meaning, be yourself! Dress in something that speaks to your personality and what makes you, YOU! There is only one YOU, so don’t hold back when it comes to dressing for your photos. If you want to wear a dress covered in organza and wildflowers, then DO IT! If there is an outfit in your online shopping cart that you’ve been DYING to buy, order that baby and wear it in your photos! You won’t regret it!
I hope this gives you some good ideas!
